FESSMAN MFG Tattoo Machine Coil Winder

A purpose-built coil winder designed for tattoo machine builders.

The FESSMAN MFG Coil Winder was designed around a simple goal: make winding consistent, controlled coils easier without overcomplicating the process.

Built around a rigid machined aluminum chassis, the winder uses a two-stage wire guide system to control the path of the wire from the supply spool to the coil. Adjustable spool tension helps prevent overrun and keeps consistent tension on the wire while winding.

The result is a compact, straightforward machine that gives the builder control over the winding process without unnecessary electronics or complicated mechanisms.

Powered by a standard 12v power supply and actuated by a foot switch.

Designed for the Builder

This isn't an automated coil-winding machine.

The builder still controls wire placement, tension and the finished coil. The machine simply provides a stable, repeatable platform that makes the winding process faster and easier to control.

Designed through actual coil winding and refined around the problems that show up at the bench—including spool overrun, changing feed angles and maintaining a consistent path into the coil.
